CHAPTER 9: THE CONFRONTATION

Instead of panicking, Vincent acted with absolute calm. He ordered Elena and Sophie to be moved to a safe house in Michigan under Marcus's personal guard.
The next evening, the gates of the estate were left subtly unlatched.

Vincent sat there alone, wearing a pristine grey suit, sipping a glass of bourbon.
""You're late, Dominic,"" Vincent said smoothly.
Anthony gasped, stepping back. ""Don Vincent...""
""Sit down, Anthony,"" Vincent commanded softly without looking at him. ""Or stand there and face the consequences of your betrayal.""

Dominic smirked, raising his weapon. ""You're alone, old man. It’s over. The city belongs to a new generation.""
