Vincent knew that defense was a losing strategy. If Dominic intended to use Elena and Sophie as leverage to challenge his leadership, Vincent had to strike first—not with violence, but with ultimate leverage.
He summoned his inner circle to the estate. Among them was Anthony, a younger lieutenant whom Vincent had raised like a son.
""Dominic is planning a strike,"" Vincent told his men. ""He wants to prove I am weak.""
""We should wipe them out, Don Vincent,"" Anthony asserted heatedly. ""Give the order, and we take his territory by morning.""
Vincent observed Anthony closely. He noticed the slight twitch in the young man’s jaw, the subtle hesitation in his eyes.
""Violence is the weapon of the desperate, Anthony,"" Vincent said quietly. ""We win with intelligence.""
