Chapter 11 - The Return of the Rightful Heir

The silence in the grand boardroom was absolute as Olivia stepped across the threshold, her long silver-streaked brown hair framing a face etched with the quiet resilience of a survivor.
Arthur Vance staggered backward from his chair, his sophisticated veneer shattering completely as he stared at the woman he had buried on paper a decade ago.
“That… that’s impossible. You died in the asylum fire,” Arthur stammered, his voice losing its authoritative boom and dropping to a ragged whisper.
Olivia stopped ten feet from the glass table, her green eyes fixed on the man who had stolen her identity, her family, and her life with calculated corporate greed.
“I survived, Arthur. And I brought the original audit logs that prove every single share of this company rightfully belongs to my daughter and Julian,” Olivia stated clearly.
Victoria lunged forward, her nails digging into the mahogany table as she turned her fury toward her own father.
“Dad, do something! Call security! Have them dragged out of here!” Victoria screamed, her manic facade completely disintegrating under the crushing weight of the truth.
Two federal marshals stepped past the corporate guards, their badges gleaming under the boardroom lights as they flanked Olivia and Lucy.
“Arthur Vance, you are under arrest for corporate fraud, kidnapping, and the falsification of federal documents,” the lead marshal announced, stepping forward with handcuffs in hand.
Arthur raised his hands defensively, his eyes darting frantically toward the floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the glittering skyline of Boston.
“You have no proof that holds up in a federal court, this is a hostile takeover conspiracy,” Arthur snarled, refusing to go down without a fight.
Julian stepped closer, pulling a thick document from his overcoat and tossing it onto the glass table directly in front of Arthur’s trembling hands.
“That’s the signed confession from your chief legal counsel, Arthur. He traded your entire empire for a guaranteed plea deal thirty minutes ago,” Julian said coldly.
Arthur looked down at the papers, realizing with sickening clarity that his fortress of lies had been dismantled from the inside out by his own legal team.
The marshals grabbed Arthur by the arms, clicking the heavy steel cuffs around his wrists as he was hauled backward out of the executive boardroom.
Victoria collapsed into her chair, burying her face in her hands as her elaborate web of deception collapsed into total ruin around her.
Julian walked over to Olivia, placing a gentle hand on her shoulder as the tension of the past ten years finally began to lift from their shoulders.
“Are you alright?” Julian asked softly, looking down into her tired, beautiful green eyes with an expression of profound relief.
“I am now, Julian,” Olivia whispered, leaning against his shoulder as Lucy wrapped her arms around them both in a tearful embrace.
The remaining board members sat in stunned silence, watching the genuine family reunion unfold before them under the cold light of the media screen.
“As the primary majority shareholder under my father’s original trust, I move to dissolve the current executive board effective immediately,” Julian announced to the room.
The board members nodded in subdued agreement, realizing that resisting now would only ensure their own prosecution alongside Arthur Vance.
As the federal marshals led Victoria out of the room in handcuffs, she paused at the doorway and turned back to look directly at Lucy with a venomous glare.

“You think you’ve won, you little parasite, but this company is already bankrupt,” Victoria hissed before disappearing down the hallway.
