Chapter 13: An Unassailable Decree
On March 20, the Knox County Probate Court issued its final, unappealable decree.
Judge William Harrison signed the golden-sealed order:
* Full, unencumbered **Sole Legal and Sole Physical Guardianship** permanently confirmed for Lucas and Hannah Vance.
* All corporate ties, trusts, and inherited covenants associated with Vance Capital declared legally null and void ab initio.
* *The Cedar Haven* estate declared an irrevocable, unencumbered family homestead protected from any future civil claims.
As Lucas, Hannah, and Marcus Cole walked down the historic granite steps of the courthouse into the crisp spring sunshine, Marcus handed Lucas the certified decree.
""You have won total, unconditional sovereignty, Lucas,"" Marcus smiled warmly. ""You built a fortress that no amount of money can ever shake.""
Lucas held the paper against his chest, looking up at the vast blue sky.
