Inside the opulent hallway, the ornate gold mirror had been permanently replaced by a stunning piece of modern artwork symbolizing unity and strength. The crystal chandeliers cast a warm, welcoming glow over the polished marble floors.
Julian Vance stood near the entrance, reviewing the final restructuring documents on his tablet. The front door opened softly, and Delilah stepped into the grand foyer. She looked radiant and healthy, carrying a healthy two-month-old baby wrapped in a soft blue blanket. Her light brown hair was tied back neatly, and her smile was genuine and bright.
Marcus rushed forward from the parlor, beaming as he gently took her coat. “Welcome home, Delilah. The nursery upstairs is completely ready.”
“Thank you, Marcus, but I think I’ve spent enough time upstairs,” Delilah laughed softly, adjusting the baby in her arms as she looked around the transformed hallway. “This place feels completely different now.”
Julian walked over, offering a warm, respectful smile as he looked down at the sleeping infant. “It’s not just a house anymore, Delilah. It’s a home built on truth.”
Delilah nodded, her eyes meeting Julian’s with a profound sense of gratitude and closure. “Thank you for not looking away, Mr. Vance.”
