Chapter 10: Rebuilding the Foundation

The return of that single memory marked a turning point. It wasn't an instant fix for all her lost years, but it was a doorway opened. Over the next few weeks, with the help of therapy and the unconditional love of her family, more pieces of Clara’s past began to return.

""A birdhouse. For the backyard garden. Your mom loves birds."" Jax handed Leo a small, safe piece of sandpaper. ""Every good house needs a strong foundation, Leo. Just like a family.""
Leo took the sandpaper and worked quietly on the wood. After a long pause, he looked up at Jax. ""Are you going to stay with us, Jax?""
