Chapter 11: Counter-Attack on Wall Street

The opening bell on Wall Street had barely rung when the first shockwave hit the financial markets. Vance Logistics stock plummeted by thirty-two percent within the first ten minutes of trading. Sell orders cascaded through automated systems like falling dominoes.
In her penthouse office, Eleanor Kingston watched the live financial tickers scroll across her computer monitors. Julian stood beside her, refreshing a secure dashboard detailing global stock movements.
"Vance Logistics is scrambling to secure emergency liquidity," Julian reported calmly, watching the numbers drop. "Their secondary lenders are pulling out after learning of the federal subpoenas."
"They thought they could use Hailey to infiltrate our logistics network and bleed us dry," Eleanor said, her voice laced with cold satisfaction. "They failed to realize that when you attack a Kingston enterprise, you invite a counter-offensive you cannot survive."
"Our legal team has also filed injunctions against their offshore holding accounts," Julian added, handing her a secure tablet. "Federal prosecutors have enough evidence to freeze their primary assets by noon."
Eleanor took the tablet, scrolling through the legal filings. "Good. Ensure our subsidiary in Geneva acquires their European shipping lanes the moment the liquidation auction opens tomorrow morning. We absorb their infrastructure, eliminate our primary competitor, and expand our global footprint in a single stroke."
The door opened, and Alex walked in, holding his own tablet with an air of complete confidence. "The Asian market expansion is locked in, Grandmother. Our regional partners approved the new routing protocols an hour ago. We've bypassed the Vance supply chain entirely."

Eleanor looked up, her piercing gaze meeting her grandson's steady eyes. The transformation was complete. The naive boy who had fallen for a gold-digger’s trap was gone; standing before her was the future CEO of the Kingston dynasty.
"Well executed, Alex," Eleanor said, her tone approving. "You are finally seeing the board the way it was meant to be played."
