Chapter 15 - The Dawn After the Storm

The morning sun broke through the heavy clouds over the bay, casting a warm, golden light across the restored gardens of the Sterling estate. The debris from the disastrous party had been entirely cleared away, leaving the polished hardwood floors of the ballroom gleaming once more. Julian looked down at his sleeping daughter, watching the steady, peaceful rise and fall of her chest, free from fear for the first time in years.

Arthur smiled faintly, raising his coffee cup in a silent toast to a new beginning. Outside the window, a flock of seagulls soared high into the clear blue sky, cutting through the crisp morning air toward an open horizon, leaving the wreckage of the past far behind them forever.
