Chapter 11 - The Empty Vault

Handcuffs clicked around Julian’s wrists in full view of the city’s elite, the flashes of smartphones documenting his humiliating fall. Siera was escorted out through a service entrance by corporate security, stripped of her position, her marriage, and her social standing in a matter of minutes.

As the agents led Julian past Emma, his arrogance cracked, revealing the desperate coward beneath. "You can't do this to me!" he hissed, his face twisted in venomous rage. "You won't get a single cent! I moved it all! The accounts are untraceable! You and the twins will end up on the street!"

Emma didn't flinch. She simply looked at Clara, who stepped forward with a signed court order. "The accounts in the Cayman Islands were seized at 4:00 PM today, Julian," Clara stated smoothly. "Under the maritime fraud provision, every dollar transferred out of the family trust has been frozen and returned to Emma's sole custody. You didn't just lose the fund; you lost the penthouse, your license, and your freedom."

Julian’s face drained of what little color remained. He looked at Emma, searching for any trace of the woman he used to manipulate so easily. He found only ice. "Emma... please. Think of our family."

"I am thinking of my family," Emma said coldly. "Which is why you will never see them again."

As the elevator doors closed on Julian’s arrest, Emma exhaled a breath she felt she had been holding for five years. But as she turned to leave the ballroom, Arthur Vance touched her shoulder, his face grave despite their victory. "Emma, we have a problem. The psychiatrist Julian hired—he didn't just forge reports. He filed an emergency warrant this morning. It’s already with the precinct."
