Chapter 15: A Legacy of Love

On a bright afternoon in early autumn, the family visited the tranquil countryside cemetery where Arthur’s late wife rested. Sunlight filtered through the golden leaves of the oak trees lining the path.
Leo ran ahead, holding a bouquet of fresh wildflowers he had picked along the road. He carefully laid them at the base of the headstone.
Arthur stood between Eleanor and Leo, putting his arms around both of them. From his pocket, he pulled out the silver crest medallion that had brought them back together. He reached down and gently fastened it around Leo’s neck.
"Why are you giving this to me, Grandpa?" Leo asked, looking up with his bright hazel eyes.

"Because it reminded us of who we are," Arthur said, his voice filled with warmth and emotion. "It brought you to me, and it brought your mother home. Wear it as a reminder that no matter how lost we may feel, love will always guide us back to where we belong."
Leo smiled, holding the cool metal against his chest, and took his grandfather's hand on one side and his mother's on the other. Together, they walked down the sunny path, whole again.
