Chapter 14

The heavy mahogany doors of the main boardroom opened with a solemn creak, revealing the full board of directors seated around the massive oval table. Every face was taut with anxiety, waiting to see who would emerge victorious from the ashes of the greatest corporate scandal in modern history.
Julian and Clara walked into the room side by side, their posture united, resolute, and commanding absolute authority. Julian took his place at the head of the table, while Clara sat immediately to his right, placing the audited financial ledgers down on the polished wood surface.

Henderson looked up from the report, his expression shifting from deep skepticism to profound respect. He looked from Clara to Julian, nodding slowly.
“Then there is only one order of business left to address,” Henderson said, standing up from his chair. “I move that Julian Vance be unanimously confirmed as permanent CEO, with Clara Vance appointed as Executive Chairperson of the Board, effective immediately.”
