Chapter 9: The Broadcast**

The corridor filled with tension so thick nobody dared to breathe. Cross’s hand remained rested on his holster, his mind racing through every possible exit strategy.
"You're cornered, Thomas," Cross said through clenched teeth. "The building is surrounded. The federal prosecutor already has an open indictment on you."
"An indictment requires an audience that agrees with you, Douglas," Holloway said calmly. He reached into his coat with his uninjured hand and pulled out a small black remote device with a flashing amber light.
"What is that?" Cross demanded.
"That black card Leo used downstairs? It wasn't just a payment method," Holloway said, tapping the remote. "It was an encrypted transmitter. Every time that card is swiped at an institutional terminal, it triggers an automated upload of the corresponding corruption ledger to sixty-four independent news networks and public servers worldwide."
At that exact moment, every television screen in the pediatric ward—and across the city—flickered.
News broadcasts suddenly cut away from their scheduled programs to display massive, undeniable spreadsheets: offshore bank routing numbers, shell corporation names, and undeniable proof of pharmaceutical price-fixing that had withheld lifesaving medicine from thousands of children.
At the top of the screen, in bold white letters, read the master title: **THE HOLLOWAY HUMANITARIAN RECOVERY TRUST.**
Cross’s earpiece began buzzing frantically with panicked calls from headquarters. His superior officers, government liaisons, and media handlers were all screaming at once.

"It’s over, Douglas," Holloway said, his voice soft yet filled with unshakeable dignity. "The money isn't hidden anymore. It’s public. Every single cent of that 127 million is now locked in a decentralized legal trust, legally untouchable by you, and legally bound to pay the medical debt of every child in this hospital."
