Chapter 13: Retribution**

In the darkness, Sterling’s mercenary squad panicked, their night-vision goggles blinded by emergency strobes.
Julian moved with unmatched precision, disarming the guards one by one with calculated ferocity. Marcus and the extraction team provided suppressive fire, securing the corridor and paving an exit route.
Arthur Sterling turned to flee down the emergency stairwell, abandoning his own daughter in the panic.
Victoria slipped on the wet floor, her heels snapping as she fell against the wall. Julian stood over her, his silhouette towering and immovable.
“Julian, please!” Victoria cried out, holding up her hands. “It was my father’s idea! He forced me!”
Julian looked down at the woman who had mocked a helpless child only hours earlier. “You had six years to tell the truth, Victoria. Now, you can tell it to a federal judge.”
Marcus cuffed Victoria to the steel handrail just as federal tactical units breached the facility entrance, led by Julian’s allies in the Department of Justice.
