Chapter 13: A Visit to Pennsylvania

Three days later, a modest black SUV pulled up to a quiet, weathered cemetery on a hillside overlooking the industrial riverbanks of Pittsburgh.

Marcus walked along the damp grass, holding Toby’s hand, while Leo walked slightly ahead, carrying a bouquet of fresh white lilies.

They stopped before a humble, weathered headstone that read:

> **ARTHUR CAMPBELL**
> *Beloved Husband and Father*
> *Gone But Never Forgotten*

The stone was cracked, neglected by years of poverty.

Leo knelt and placed the lilies against the cold granite. He didn't cry. For the first time in his young life, the heavy, defensive anger had vanished from his eyes, replaced by a deep, peaceful pride.

Marcus knelt beside the boys. He reached into his coat and took out the charred, soot-blackened leather notebook.

"Arthur," Marcus whispered, his hand resting on the damp earth above his savior. "Your boys are safe. They will never suffer again. The whole world knows your name now. They know you were a hero."

Toby knelt down, pressing his small hand against his father’s name on the stone. "We have a dad who takes care of us now, Daddy. Just like you asked him to."

A gentle gust of wind swept across the hillside, rustling the autumn leaves like a quiet, approving sigh from the heavens.
