Upstairs, Nora was pacing furiously across the Persian rug of her executive office. She smashed a crystal decanter against the wall, her face contorted with rage.
"Find them! I want that document destroyed, and I want them off this property before dawn!" Nora screamed at the head of her security detail.
She knew if that original will saw the light of a courtroom, her entire multi-million dollar empire would collapse like a house of cards. She hadn't just stolen Arthur’s fortune; she had systematically erased every obstacle in her path, and she wasn't about to let a tattooed ex-con and a rebellious maid tear it all down now.
Nora picked up her desk phone, dialing an emergency number. "Yes, I need to report a violent home invasion. Armed intruders are holding my staff hostage. Send units immediately."
