Chapter 7: The Seeds of Real Purpose

With Tyler completely out of my life, I poured my energy into healing and building.

Money without purpose is just paper and vanity; I had seen firsthand how it corroded Tyler’s soul. I refused to let my child grow up thinking wealth was a weapon used to look down on others.

I established the *Hope Rising Foundation*, a non-profit dedicated to housing, educating, and providing legal defense for abandoned women and single mothers. Every time I visited the foundation's center, I saw women who had faced the exact same cruelty I had—except they didn't have a billionaire father or a fleet of black SUVs to rescue them.

"You're giving them dignity, Mrs. Vance," Sister Margaret, the shelter director, told me one morning as we walked through the newly renovated nursery.

"Dignity isn't something we give, Sister," I replied, holding an orphaned infant in my arms. "It’s something we restore when the world tries to steal it."

Meanwhile, intelligence reports from my father’s security team reached my desk. Chloe had been arrested in Miami for attempting to cash forged checks belonging to an elderly real estate heir. Her web of lies had collapsed far faster than Tyler's.

As for Tyler, he had vanished from the city’s upper crust, working as an hourly line cook at a highway diner two states away, trying to pay off his personal debts one dish at a time.
