Chapter 10: The Audition
Two years passed. Lily was now five, and her talent had outgrown private tutoring. Madame Dubois recommended her for a scholarship at the prestigious Juilliard Pre-College program. It was a highly competitive audition, strictly for the best young prodigies in the world.
For weeks, Lily practiced tirelessly. Ethan was there every step of the way, acting not just as a patron, but as a father. He held her when she was frustrated, wiped her tears when a sonata proved too difficult, and cheered the loudest when she finally mastered it.
The day of the audition, the family was a bundle of nerves. Lily wore a beautiful white dress, holding Ethan's hand on one side and Sarah's on the other as they walked toward the conservatory.
