Chapter 13: Healing Wounds

The following week passed in a blur of federal depositions, medical checkups, and quiet domestic recovery. The gold pendant rested on the windowsill above the kitchen sink, catching the morning sunlight and reflecting a warm, steady glow across the room. It was no longer a secret code or a symbol of danger; it was simply a family heirloom returned to its rightful place, a reminder of resilience through the darkest storms.
