Chapter 15: The River of Hope

One sunny afternoon, Julian and Lily stood by the river that flowed behind the Vance estate. The water sparkled under the golden sunlight, calm and constant.
Lily held a small paper boat she had folded herself, similar to the folded paper she had pulled from her pocket on the day the truth began to unravel.
"Uncle Julian," Lily asked, looking up at him. "Are you sad about what happened to Uncle Arthur?"
Julian knelt down beside her, looking at the gentle current of the water. "I am sad, Lily. But life is like this river. Sometimes obstacles block the water, but eventually, it finds a way to clean itself and keep flowing. We can't change where the water came from, but we can choose where it goes next."

Lily smiled and gently placed her paper boat onto the surface of the water. They watched together as it caught the current, sailing smoothly toward the open horizon.
Julian stood up, holding Lily's small hand in his. He walked forward without his cane, stepping lightly into a future built not on power, but on truth, love, and redemption.
