Chapter 6 - The Unfiltered Tantrum of Truth

The afternoon sun dipped slightly lower, casting long, amber rays across the suburban lawn as Baby Timothy prepared for his performance. Officer Miller adjusted his grip on the portable ring light, ensuring the illumination caught every bead of sweat on the infant’s determined forehead. Baby Jaxson sat back in his stroller throne, crossing his arms over his designer onesie with absolute disdain, fully expecting a pathetic display.

Timothy didn't reach for a microphone or a pre-recorded track. Instead, he dropped flat onto his stomach right there on the manicured grass. He curled his legs inward, clenched his fists tightly against the sod, and took in a massive, diaphragm-expanding breath that made his colorful striped onesie stretch to its absolute limit.

“What is he doing?” Jaxson muttered through his gold pacifier, suddenly losing his smug composure as he watched the unorthodox wind-up. “Is he having a glitch?”

Before Jaxson could finish his sentence, Timothy unleashed a scream of pure, unadulterated, primal fury. It wasn’t a digital sound effect or a pitch-corrected vocal run; it was the raw, window-rattling shriek of a toddler who had been denied his afternoon snack and his constitutional right to digital growth. The sound waves literally ruffled the leaves on the nearby boxwood hedge.

Officer Miller watched in awe as the live-stream viewer counter on his smartphone started ticking upward in real-time. Ten viewers. One hundred. Five hundred. The raw frequency of the tantrum was vibrating through the local Wi-Fi routers, forcing automatic algorithmic reroutes across the entire neighborhood.

“Look at the metrics!” Miller whispered to himself, his eyes widening behind his short haircut and facial hair. “The engagement spike is off the charts! It’s organic growth at a molecular level!”

Baby Jaxson’s follower-toddlers frantically tapped their tablets, trying to deploy defensive likes and fire emojis to counter Timothy’s overwhelming sonic assault, but the sheer volume of genuine emotion was breaking their buffering software. Jaxson gripped the armrests of his stroller, his face turning bright red as he watched his own viewer count plummet like a falling anchor.

Timothy rolled onto his back, kicking his chubby legs furiously against the air while continuing his high-decibel vocalization. Dirt flew, grass blades scattered, and the red toy car vibrated violently on the turf from the seismic energy of the tantrum. It was messy, it was unpolished, and it was entirely, breathtakingly real.

As the final, lingering note of the scream echoed down Maple Street, Timothy collapsed onto the grass, panting heavily, sweat dampening his short brown hair. The lawn fell into a stunned, breathless silence, broken only by the frantic beeping of Miller’s smartphone as notifications flooded in by the thousands.

Officer Miller checked the screen, his stern face breaking into a wide, undeniable grin. He looked down at the exhausted infant lying in the grass. “Kid... you just broke the local server. Your engagement rate just hit the front page of the trending tab.”
