Chapter 12: The Town Hall

The city hall was packed the following evening. Harrison sat at the front table with a team of lawyers, confident that his financial power would push the commercial project through. But when Marcus entered, dressed neatly and carrying the original community deeds, the atmosphere changed. Marcus didn't shout or accuse. He stood before the council and spoke from the heart about the family values, affordable homes, and green spaces that made the town a place worth living in.
