When court reconvened, the judge did not hesitate.

"The court finds that Victor Vance is a devoted, fit, and exceptionally loving father," the judge declared, her voice echoing through the room. "The petition for custody filed by Evelyn Vance is dismissed with prejudice. Full legal and physical custody remains solely with the father."

The judge slammed the gavel down, officially closing the case.

Arthur turned to Victor with a wide, relieved smile, shaking his hand firmly. "It’s over, Victor. You’re free."

Outside the courtroom, reporters rushed forward with microphones and cameras, eager for a statement from the tattooed heir who had walked away from one of the city's wealthiest fortunes.

Victor stopped at the top of the stone steps, holding Lily in his arms. He looked into the cameras calmly.

"I have only one thing to say," Victor said softly. "True legacy isn't built on money, titles, or grand mansions. It is built on how we treat the people we love. My daughter and I are going home."

Without taking another question, he walked down the steps, past the flashing lights, and stepped into his truck, leaving the city behind for good.
