""Mom?"" Leo cried out, breaking away and running down the stone steps.
Sofia followed closely behind, her heart hammering in her chest. At the bottom of the stairs, standing beside a small desk covered in research papers, was Clara. She looked tired, pale, but her eyes shone with fierce love.
