The bridge was built entirely of native white oak harvested through sustainable forest thinning, framed by Julian and the sawyer crew, and pinned with hand-carved locust trunnels.
On a brilliant, crisp Saturday morning, four hundred citizens gathered at the creek for the dedication ceremony.
Elena and Nathan walked to the entrance of the bridge, holding hands with five-year-old Thomas skipping between them.
