Chapter 15 - Confrontation at the Top
"I built this security system myself, son," Arthur’s voice boomed through the room's speakers. "Did you really think I wouldn't notice a breach on my own server network?" The heavy glass doors unlocked, and four armed guards stepped inside, forcing him to his knees at gunpoint.
Minutes later, he was brought up to the top floor penthouse, where Arthur stood by the floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the glowing city skyline. On the desk sat the final transfer documents, alongside a live video feed showing a black van parked outside the hidden cabin where his wife and daughter were hiding. Arthur picked up a sleek fountain pen and tossed it onto the glass table right in front of him. "Sign the transfer of guardianship now," Arthur commanded coldly, "or I give the order to clear out that cabin."v
