Chapter 14 - Infiltrating the Tower
Under the cover of heavy mist, Marcus cut the main power lines to the tower's east wing, disabling the primary security cameras for a brief ninety-second window. Dressed in dark tactical gear, he scale the exterior service elevator shaft, reaching the 40th floor smoothly without triggering the silent alarms.
He slipped into the glass-walled server room, his heart pounding in his chest as his fingers flew across the terminal keyboard, bypass code after bypass code. The progress bar on his flash drive crept upward: 70%, 85%, 95%... suddenly, the bright red emergency lights bathed the entire floor in a crimson glare. The door locked automatically, and the digital screen on the wall lit up, revealing Arthur sitting in his penthouse office upstairs, smiling coldly into a camera.
