Chapter 3 - The Broken Mirror

Clara lunged forward, her pristine veil tearing against the floral altar arrangement as she tried to reach the woman, but Julian caught her by the arms. "Who is she, Clara?" Julian demanded, his voice cracking under the weight of the nightmare unfolding around them. Clara shook her head frantically, tears finally spilling over her lashes, ruining her perfect makeup. "She's no one! She's a ghost, Julian, please don't listen to her!" But before Julian could ask another question, the ballroom lights flickered violently and plunged the room into pitch darkness. Screams echoed off the high gilded ceilings as chaos erupted among the wedding party. When the emergency backup lights kicked on ten seconds later, the second bride had vanished from the aisle, leaving behind only the small silver key resting on the pedestal of the microphone.
