Chapter 10: Rebuilding the Sanctuary

Instead of moving back to the grand estate filled with painful memories, Claire decided to start fresh. With the support of her parents, she bought a cozy cottage near the coast, surrounded by wildflowers and the soothing sound of ocean waves.

Every morning, Marcus would drive over to help rebuild the front porch, turning his military precision toward woodworking. Together, father and daughter sanded the wood, painted the trim, and built a brand-new nursery filled with light.
