The afternoon sun cast a golden glow across the Manhattan skyline as Helena stood on the private balcony of her Greenwich Village brownstone, looking out over the city where her journey had taken such a dramatic turn. The air was cool and crisp, carrying the unmistakable scent of approaching winter.
Marcus stepped out onto the balcony, holding a small silver tray with a single pristine white envelope. "The final legal documents have been processed and filed, Madam. The Vance Family Foundation is now fully endowed, ensuring perpetual support for the Ohio plant workers' families and community education programs."
Helena took the envelope, her fingers tracing the smooth paper. "Thank you, Marcus. For everything. You’ve been far more than an estate manager through all of this."
"It has been an honor to serve the real architect of this house," Marcus replied respectfully, offering a slight bow before stepping back inside.
