Chapter 4: The Board's Ultimatum**
Dominic’s phone vibrated incessantly on the passenger seat. When he answered, the furious voice of his uncle, Arthur Vance-Sterling, boomed through the speaker.
"Dominic! Wall Street is panicking. You missed the morning press conference. Victoria’s father is threatening to pull the merger if you aren't back in New York by noon."
"Let him pull it," Dominic answered coldly.
"Are you insane? You are throwing away generations of wealth for a woman from nowhere!"
"I spent my entire life building wealth to prove something to a family that never loved me," Dominic said, looking out at the crashing grey waves below the cliffs. "For once, I'm choosing what actually matters. Don't call me again, Arthur."
