On Leo’s sixteenth birthday, Jax led him down to the garage after hours. The shop was quiet, smelling of motor oil and fresh pine sawdust.

In the center bay, covered by a gray canvas sheet, sat an object Jax had worked on secretly for six months. Jax pulled the canvas back, revealing his old matte-black motorcycle, completely restored, with a new passenger seat and refined safety features.

"She's completely rebuilt," Jax said softly. "Engine, brakes, frame. Built to last."

Leo walked around the machine, touching the polished chrome. "You're giving this to me?"

Leo turned and threw his arms around Jax in a tight embrace. Jax held his son back, resting his chin on the boy’s head, feeling a profound sense of peace settle over his heart.
